ARRI ALEXA Demonstration

From the creator of the legendary film cameras, ARRI’s ALEXA combines all the best features of the Digital Cinema cameras and with credits like Drive, Hugo, Skyfall, and Avengers, has quickly become one most coveted HD cameras for both indie and studio pictures alike.

In August and as a precursor to our Cinema for a New Age: Going HD panel discussion NOVAC is partnering with ARRI and Hosting Sponsor, Second Line Stages to offer an in-depth demonstration of the ALEXA by ARRI’s own Guenter Noesner. Topics will include the ALEXA’s image performance and film-like look, workflows, accessories, architecture and more.

NOVAC is a 501c3 nonprofit with a mission to cultivate a sustainable film community by providing access to resources, education and locally generated content. NOVAC accomplishes this mission through training, career development, community outreach, independent productions, and special events.

Our programs are supported in part by the New Orleans Office of Cultural Economy and Job1 as well as a Community Arts Grant made possible by the City of New Orleans. Our programs are also made possible by a Decentralized Arts grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council. Both the Community Arts Grant and the Decentralized Arts grant are administered through the Arts Council of New Orleans.
