BR: Locations 101

 Want a multi-faceted position in the film industry? Or do you want to start making your own
films? Knowing the ins and outs of “Locations” will fit both interests. Working in the Locations Department allows you to work with the production team and the community. Anticipating the needs for every department, from transportation and parking to catering spaces, from finding the perfect setting
for a scene to setting up hair and makeup stations, you will get acquainted with every facet of
film production and what goes on behind the scenes to make it happen.

NOVAC, in partnership with the Baton Rouge Office of Community Development, is providing 2 days of in-depth training to locals looking to learn what it takes to work in the Locations Department. Students will leave the class knowing the ins and outs of this crucial role and will be better prepared to secure jobs on set. The class will be hosted at the Creative Bloc and taught by local Locations Manager, Wendi Coates.

Our workforce training classes are free to qualified residents of East Baton Rouge Parish.

Where: The Creative Bloc in Downtown Baton Rouge, 804 Main St

When: Saturday and Sunday 9/23 & 9/24 from 9am-3pm
