For the past two years major studios have made a consistent effort to apply environmentally responsible production practices to their productions. This movement is growing and these techniques are swiftly becoming the standard among productions on a national level.
NOVAC and Second Line Stages have teamed up to bring New Orleans a very special industry panel to discuss these changes and new practices within the industry. Our special guests include studio executives and producers from both the east and west coasts as well as Louisiana such as: Jane Evans – EVP Physical Production, Focus Features; Mari Jo Winkler – PGA Green Board Member and Executive Producer (Catch Me If You Can, The Shipping News, Fair Game); Kathleen Courtney – PGA Green Board Member and Producer (Because of Winn Dixie, Meet Dave, Law Abiding Citizen); Joshua Throne – Louisiana Unit Production Manager (The Expendibles, Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, Righteous Kill. Also in attendance are Meredith Bergmann and Katie Carpenter of Green Media Solutions, whose company works with top studios greening their productions.
This event is free and open to the public and will be held from 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM at Second Line Stages, located at 800 Richard Street, New Orleans, La 70103 (google map).
Please RSVP by calling 504-224-2245 or emailing boseka@secondlinestages.com and join our Facebook Event Page.
