NOVAC is a 501c3 nonprofit with a mission to cultivate a sustainable film community by providing access to resources, education and locally generated content. NOVAC accomplishes this mission through training, career development, community outreach, independent productions, and special events.
Our programs are supported in part by the New Orleans Office of Cultural Economy and Job1 as well as a Community Arts Grant made possible by the City of New Orleans. Our programs are also made possible by a Decentralized Arts grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council. Both the Community Arts Grant and the Decentralized Arts grant are administered through the Arts Council of New Orleans.
Support for NOVAC is also generously provided by Urban Strategies, the Metabolic Studio, a direct charitable activity of the Annenberg Foundation, the Rosenthal and Jacobs Foundation Fund, the Pearl Family Foundation, the RosaMary Foundation, the Keller Family Foundation, the Mary Freeman Wisdom Foundation, and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation.
