Making the Cut: Make Your Own Damn Reel

Making the Cut:Make Your Own Damn Reel is a 2-day intensive, hands-on workshop designed to educate actors on the ins and outs of creating their own acting reels using both Final Cut Pro 7 and iMovie.  Taught by seasoned Final Cut Pro editor and reel wizard, Christopher C. Brown, actors will learn:

  • The Final Cut Pro 7 interface
  • Alternative workflows of iMovie and Final Cut Pro 7
  • Logging and transferring media
  • Getting the best quality footage from provided DVD’s and clips
  • Introduction to transitions
  • Generating Text for your reels
  • Incorporating music into your reels
  • Uploading your reel to the web
  • And More…
Students will also have an opportunity to pick up some do’s and don’ts of actor reels from an experienced talent agent and Making the Cut guest speaker. So, if you are an actor whose interested in showcasing your work for view online or seeking representation, or if you are tired of breaking the bank on reel updates every time you get a new part, this class is for you.
