NOVAC kicks off 2011 with Virtuous Video and profiles the Gulf Coast Fund

This year NOVAC will introduce VIRTUOUS VIDEO, a new program that will place the power of community media in the hands of local non-profits and other community organizations allowing them to further their mission through viral web videos. By pairing our training programs with community organizations NOVAC provides workforce training for individuals, while creating original broadcast-quality content that can be used as a resume piece by the student as well as an outreach and development tool for the partner organization.

The Gulf Coast Fund (GCF) was NOVAC’s most recent non-profit partner for Virtuous Video. With a mission to support community-led work and progressive movement building in the Gulf Coast region by providing grants to other non-profits, organizations and individuals, the Gulf Coast Fund partnered with NOVAC to create the short piece, I Am the Gulf Coast Fund.
