Ready, Set, Film! Industry Workforce Training
The film industry is BOOMING. How do I get involved?
NOVAC supports the expansion of the Louisiana film industry, and the opportunities for Louisianans to develop careers in that industry. Feature film, TV and commercial producers are seeking qualified, skilled workers to fill positions in incoming productions and with production companies. So NOVAC has created partnerships with local governments, trade unions and industry partners, including Entertainment Partners Financial Solutions and Spectrum FX, to create an annual slate of film industry workforce training opportunities for locals to begin careers in the industry.
NOVAC is currently finalizing our slate of Greater New Orleans Area workforce trainings, and will post on this page when the courses are available!
Check out how Ready, Set, Film trainees did in our 2013 Workforce Performance Report!
Currently, Ready, Set, Film! Workforce Industry Training has three major workshop areas:
LOOKING FOR TRAINING?
We create an annual slate of training programs and applications become available about a month before their due date. Please check this web site frequently for new opportunities. Because these programs are supported by sponsorships from our partners, we are able to offer these programs at low or no cost to trainees, depending on the program. Our high-quality, low-cost training programs are very competitive, and have fewer available seats than applicants, so be sure to make your application and supporting materials as compelling as possible.
INTERESTED IN BRINGING WORKFORCE TRAINING TO YOUR REGION?
NOVAC currently delivers Ready, Set, Film! training in the Greater New Orleans area, to residents of Orleans, Jefferson and St. Bernard parishes. We are developing a slate of programs in 2013-14 for the Baton Rouge area, and interested in expanding our offering around the state. Would you like to see workforce training brought to your area?
