Teen Camp

NOVAC 2008 Summer Teen Digital Filmmaking Camp

About the Teen Camp:

The New Orleans Video Access Center (NOVAC) and the Digital Filmmaking Institute are offering a one-week digital filmmaking camp for area teens.  The camp will introduce students to digital filmmaking production and discuss career opportunities in film/TV production.

Within this intensive, hands-on training program, students will collaborate to produce a Public Service Announcement (PSA).  Using state-of-the art digital filmmaking equipment, students will learn the basics of digital filmmaking techniques including script development, pre-production planning, camera, lighting, and sound.  Experienced filmmakers and educators facilitate the classes.   Although no previous experience is required, students will be held to very high standards.  Motivation, collaboration, and creativity will be expected from all participants.  To view behind the scenes of NOVAC’s 2007 Teen Digital Filmmaking Camp, visit YouTube (keyword” NOVAC Teen) or click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCvmNJUSHMA
