2024 Summer Camp in New Orleans

Celebrate the next generation of filmmakers Thursday June 27 2024 at 1pm in the Second Line Stages: Cinema.

 

We’re screening their film “MANBooBS” written and directed by COOL and NOVAC Community Filmmaker Cohort alum Luke Harris!

 

For four weeks our campers, learned the ins and outs of filmmaking from pre-production to production to post-production, all with the help of industry professional mentors. We are so proud of their learning and accomplishments.

 

This short and fun screening is free and open to the public.

NOVAC teamed up with The COOL Cooperative June 2024 to offer middle and high school the most intensive (and of course free) filmmaking camp to date! It’s a crash course in creativity, collaboration, and the sheer joy of making movies. Hosted at Second Line Stages, students spent 4-weeks learning what it takes to make a film in the department of their choosing.

Camp Time: 10:00am – 3:00pm

Camp Location: Second Line Stages

Cost: FREE! 

Important Dates:

May 1, 2024 – Summer Camp Registration closes

May 17, 2024 – Youth Enrollment forms due (to confirm your spot!)

May 20, 2024 – Waitlist opens

June 3 – Camp starts!

June 27 – Last day of camp and screening

  • Post Production (video editing, titles, graphics, coloring, and sound)
